The work La Frileuse by Malvina Hoffman was sold in the House Sale auction at Christies in New York in September 2007. It achieved a price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,714.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Malvina Hoffman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'La Frileuse' in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 51,287.55).
