Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work 'La Gavotte': A Figure Of Anna Pavlova by Malvina Hoffman for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,294.74). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Malvina Hoffman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'La Frileuse' in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 51,287.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'La Gavotte': A Figure Of Anna Pavlova von Malvina Hoffman für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.294,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malvina Hoffman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'La Frileuse' im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.775,00 (€ 51.287,55).
