Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Satyr and a Nymph Dancing by Malvina Hoffman was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in April 2011. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,951.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malvina Hoffman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'La Frileuse' in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 51,287.55).
