Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Russian Dancers' by Malvina Hoffman was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2010. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,785.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Malvina Hoffman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'La Frileuse', which sold at auction in December 2002 for USD 53,775.00 (€ 51,287.55).

Die Arbeit 'Russian Dancers' von Malvina Hoffman wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.785,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
