Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mahonri Young achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2018. In the American Art auction, the work Right to the Jaw sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,197.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mahonri Young; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Knockdown sold at auction in November 2014 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 70,348.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahonri Young erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Right to the Jaw für USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.197,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00.
