Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The Organ Grinder by Mahonri Young for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,857.97). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahonri Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Knockdown in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 70,348.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Organ Grinder von Mahonri Young für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.857,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
