This artwork by Mahmoud Moussa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2014. In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art Including Masterpieces from The Pharos Art Collection & From The Maath Alousi Collection auction, the work without title sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 40,828.92) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mahmoud Moussa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Egyptian Woman sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).
