Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird 39 x 14 x 15.5 cm by Mahmoud Moussa was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,680.00 (€ 8,935.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Moussa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Egyptian Woman in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird 39 x 14 x 15.5 cm von Mahmoud Moussa wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.680,00 (€ 8.935,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Moussa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Egyptian Woman im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06).
