The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,774.34), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Moussa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian Woman, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).

Die Arbeit Dove von Mahmoud Moussa wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.774,34) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Moussa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian Woman beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06) versteigert wurde.
