This artwork by Mahmoud Moussa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in May last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art auction, the work The Goat sold for GBP 17,850.00 (€ 20,998.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Moussa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Egyptian Woman, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Moussa erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including On The Banks of the NileA Journey Through Egyptian Art wurde die Arbeit The Goat für GBP 17.850,00 (€ 20.998,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Moussa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Egyptian Woman beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06) versteigert wurde.
