Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pharonic Head 14 x 14 x 13 cm by Mahmoud Moussa was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,957.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Moussa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Egyptian Woman in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pharonic Head 14 x 14 x 13 cm von Mahmoud Moussa wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.957,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Moussa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Egyptian Woman im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06).
