Upper estimate price exceeded by 88 %.
This artwork by Lygia Pape achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,705.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lygia Pape achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 430,000.00 (€ 382,698.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lygia Pape erzielte im September 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.705,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lygia Pape erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 430.000,00 (€ 382.698,47).
