Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Four works: Untitled (Tecelar) by Lygia Pape. The price achieved of USD 105,000.00 (€ 93,449.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lygia Pape have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 430,000.00 (€ 382,698.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four works: Untitled (Tecelar) von Lygia Pape zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 93.449,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lygia Pape auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 430.000,00 (€ 382.698,47).
