Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Twelve Elements from The Night and Day Book (Book of Light) by Lygia Pape. It changed hands for a price of USD 461,000.00 (€ 337,976.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Lygia Pape have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) was auctioned for USD 430,000.00 (€ 382,698.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Twelve Elements from The Night and Day Book (Book of Light) von Lygia Pape zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 461.000,00 (€ 337.976,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Lygia Pape konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2017 die Arbeit Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) für USD 430.000,00 (€ 382.698,47) versteigert.
