Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Nishmat by Louise Fishman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,037.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louise Fishman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Burnt Bridges in March last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 181,736.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nishmat von Louise Fishman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.037,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Fishman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Burnt Bridges im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 181.736,23).
