This artwork by Louise Fishman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2019. In the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction, the work Ida's Special sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 47,644.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Fishman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Burnt Bridges, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 201,600.00 (€ 181,736.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Fishman erzielte im November 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Ida's Special für USD 52.500,00 (€ 47.644,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Fishman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Burnt Bridges beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 201.600,00 (€ 181.736,23) versteigert wurde.
