Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Spider Woman by Louise Bourgeois. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Bourgeois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spider in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 32,055,000.00 (€ 28,751,457.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spider Woman von Louise Bourgeois zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Bourgeois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spider im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.055.000,00 (€ 28.751.457,53).
