This artwork by Louis Eisner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2016. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Red Wave sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,187.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Eisner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marshall Head (Void), which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 137,000.00 (€ 100,439.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Eisner erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Red Wave für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.187,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Eisner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marshall Head (Void) beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 137.000,00 (€ 100.439,88) versteigert wurde.
