Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danish Standard VI (I) by Louis Eisner was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,935.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Eisner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marshall Head (Void) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 100,439.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Danish Standard VI (I) von Louis Eisner kam im November 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.935,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Eisner erzielen.
