Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Relief (untitled) by Liza Lou was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,865.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liza Lou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Vessel, which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).

Die Arbeit Relief (untitled) von Liza Lou kam im März 2017 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.865,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liza Lou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Vessel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79) versteigert wurde.
