Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Dahong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007. In the Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) auction, the work West Lake Dragon Fountain sold for HKD 847,500.00 (€ 75,565.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Dahong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Meeting Hall, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Dahong erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) wurde die Arbeit West Lake Dragon Fountain für HKD 847.500,00 (€ 75.565,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Meeting Hall beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21) versteigert wurde.
