The work Shanghai by Liu Dahong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 75,565.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Dahong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Meeting Hall, which sold at auction in November 2010 for HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shanghai von Liu Dahong kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 75.565,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Meeting Hall beobachtet, die im November 2010 für HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21) versteigert wurde.
