Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frosty-Night by Liu Dahong was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The price achieved of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 50,859.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Dahong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frosty-Night von Liu Dahong wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 50.859,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Dahong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
