Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Dahong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007. In the Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) auction, the work Duke Of Zhou sold for HKD 391,500.00 (€ 34,907.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Dahong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Dahong erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II) wurde die Arbeit Duke Of Zhou für HKD 391.500,00 (€ 34.907,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Dahong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
