It achieved a price of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 11,246.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Dahong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting Hall in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).

Die Arbeit Metro Bridge von Liu Dahong wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 11.246,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Dahong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meeting Hall im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
