Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Hiding in the City No. 89 (Forbidden City) by Liu Bolin. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 5,073.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Bolin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Hand in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,915.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hiding in the City No. 89 (Forbidden City) von Liu Bolin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 5.073,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Bolin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Hand im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.915,17).
