Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hotel Terminus by Lisa Ruyter was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,978.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lisa Ruyter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Top of The World, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,273.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hotel Terminus von Lisa Ruyter kam im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.978,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Lisa Ruyter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Top of The World beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.273,75) versteigert wurde.
