In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled 2014.1 by Liang Yuanwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 162,640.26), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 2014.1 von Liang Yuanwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 162.640,26) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
