A top price for Liang Yuanwei - as previously expected
The work Styx River by Liang Yuanwei was auctioned at Christies in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Styx River is the most expensive artwork by Liang Yuanwei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Styx River von Liang Yuanwei kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Styx River das teuerste Kunstwerk von Liang Yuanwei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
