Auction result well in line with expectations
The work i. 2015.10 ii. 2015.07 (Two Works) by Liang Yuanwei was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 700,000.00 – 1,400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 819,000.00 (€ 102,194.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit i. 2015.10 ii. 2015.07 (Two Works) von Liang Yuanwei wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 700.000,00 – 1.400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 819.000,00 (€ 102.194,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
