Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 2013.14 by Liang Yuanwei was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 144,976.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled 2013.14 von Liang Yuanwei wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 144.976,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
