Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included the work Transparent Ecology by Li Wei. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,021.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,310.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch die Arbeit Transparent Ecology von Li Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.021,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.310,49).
