The work Free Life Pond series 2“Under A Vast Sky” by Li Wei was sold in the The Enchantment of Neoteric Chinese Ink auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 43,700.00 (€ 4,499.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 38,000.00 – 48,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Wei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,310.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Free Life Pond series 2“Under A Vast Sky” von Li Wei wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion The Enchantment of Neoteric Chinese Ink bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.700,00 (€ 4.499,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 38.000,00 – 48.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Wei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.310,49) versteigert wurde.
