It achieved a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,311.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Li Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,310.49).

Die Arbeit Free Degree Over 25th Story von Li Wei kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.311,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.310,49).
