Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waiting by Li Tianbing was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2010. The price achieved of USD 68,500.00 (€ 52,546.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Tianbing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Image Collective Devant La Porte in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waiting von Li Tianbing wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 52.546,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Tianbing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Image Collective Devant La Porte im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
