Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Soul by Li Chen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 17,975,000.00 (€ 1,924,505.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Soul von Li Chen kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.975.000,00 (€ 1.924.505,40).
