Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Li Chen achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October this year. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Lord Of Wind(Executed In 2008) sold for HKD 3,720,000.00 (€ 449,863.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Chen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 17,975,000.00 (€ 1,924,505.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Chen erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Lord Of Wind(Executed In 2008) für HKD 3.720.000,00 (€ 449.863,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Chen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.975.000,00 (€ 1.924.505,40).
