Upper estimate price exceeded by 41 %.
The work Casual by Li Chen was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in September this year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 144,422.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 17,975,000.00 (€ 1,924,505.40).
