The work Radiance.Chiliadal Blossom (I) by Li Chen was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. It achieved a price of HKD 730,800.00 (€ 87,575.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 17,975,000.00 (€ 1,924,505.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Radiance.Chiliadal Blossom (I) von Li Chen wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 730.800,00 (€ 87.575,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dragon-Riding Buddha (Executed In 2001) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.975.000,00 (€ 1.924.505,40).
