Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Taglio by Leoncillo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 275,659.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leoncillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande Mutilazione, which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 969,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Taglio von Leoncillo kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 275.659,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Leoncillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande Mutilazione beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 969.000,00 versteigert wurde.
