Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Presagio by Leoncillo was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 350,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 375,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leoncillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande Mutilazione, which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 969,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Presagio von Leoncillo kam im November 2020 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 375.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Leoncillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande Mutilazione beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 969.000,00 versteigert wurde.
