Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cariatide (Caryatid) by Leoncillo was sold in the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,880.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leoncillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Mutilazione in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 969,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cariatide (Caryatid) von Leoncillo wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.880,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leoncillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Mutilazione im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 969.000,00.
