In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Man With Pomegranate by Leonard Baskin. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,367.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Leonard Baskin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Isaacangel was auctioned for USD 18,800.00 (€ 19,696.18).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man With Pomegranate von Leonard Baskin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.367,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Leonard Baskin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2000 die Arbeit Isaacangel für USD 18.800,00 (€ 19.696,18) versteigert.
