Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Three Woodcut Prints by Leonard Baskin. The price achieved of USD 153.00 (€ 143.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonard Baskin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Isaacangel in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 19,696.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Woodcut Prints von Leonard Baskin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 153,00 (€ 143,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonard Baskin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Isaacangel im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 19.696,18).
