Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated Figure by Leonard Baskin was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in August 2012. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,472.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Baskin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Isaacangel in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 19,696.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seated Figure von Leonard Baskin wurde im August 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.472,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Baskin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Isaacangel im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 19.696,18).
