Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Subway Door) by Lee Quiñones was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 31,734.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Quiñones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dance Band, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 75,600.00 (€ 65,443.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Subway Door) von Lee Quiñones kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 31.734,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Quiñones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dance Band beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 75.600,00 (€ 65.443,21) versteigert wurde.
