In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Public Intervention: Art of the Street, which included the work The Dance Band by Lee Quiñones. The »bidding war« ended at USD 75,600.00 (€ 65,443.21), 51% above the upper estimate. This high result makes The Dance Band the most expensive artwork by Lee Quiñones that we have observed at auctions so far.
