Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Afternoon Session, which included the work Ram by Lee Lozano. It changed hands for a price of USD 197,000.00 (€ 144,789.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Lozano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No title, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 602,500.00 (€ 462,181.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ram von Lee Lozano zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 144.789,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Lozano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No title beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 602.500,00 (€ 462.181,65) versteigert wurde.
