This artwork by Lee Krasner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June last year. In the Editions Southampton auction, the work Embrace, from The Superlative U.S. Olympic Editions sold for USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,212.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Krasner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eye Is The First Circle in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 11,654,000.00 (€ 10,452,955.42).

In der Auktion Editions Southampton wurde die Arbeit Embrace, from The Superlative U.S. Olympic Editions für USD 4.410,00 (€ 4.212,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Krasner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Eye Is The First Circle im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.654.000,00 (€ 10.452.955,42).
