Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bon Bon - American flag candy by Laurence Jenkell was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,528.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurence Jenkell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.528,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurence Jenkell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09) versteigert wurde.
